A. The ignition interlock device fund is established consisting of monies deposited pursuant to section 28-1462, subsection H. The department shall administer the fund. Monies in the fund must be used by the department for administering this article, including compliance measures, audits and investigating complaints that are related to ignition interlock devices and ignition interlock service providers. B. The monies in the fund are subject to legislative appropriation and are exempt from section 35-190 relating to lapsing of appropriations.
