A. The right to support of a child receiving foster care maintenance payments pursuant to 42 United States Code sections 670 through 676 is assigned to this state by operation of law. The agency in this state administering the provisions of 42 United States Code sections 651 through 665 shall take all steps necessary to enforce the assigned rights to support. B. This state's assigned right to support has priority over the claims of all support claimants until the amounts due this state are satisfied.
