Verify your firm’s listing

Most criminal defense firms already have a listing here, built from public records. Find yours below to start the free verification application. If it isn’t here yet, apply and we’ll build it.

Verification application

You get verified, then claim it free.

Our goal is a directory of firms we can actually stand behind — real, licensed, and primarily practicing criminal defense. Verification isn’t a formality; it’s what makes the badge on your listing mean something to a prospective client. No payment is required at any step below.

01 · Eligibility requirements

  • Primarily criminal defense
At least 50% of the firm’s practice must be criminal defense. We estimate this from public information first; you attest to the real number when you verify.
  • Bar license active, good standing
Every attorney listed must hold an active license with no unresolved discipline, suspension, or disbarment on record.
  • A real person at the firm
We confirm the person submitting this claim actually works at the firm — not just someone who knows its name.
  • Accurate public facts
Firm name, address, and contact information must match what’s on file with the state bar and public records.

02 · How we check your identity

  1. Prove you’re at the firm — one of: a code sent to your email on the state bar roster, or an email at the firm’s registered domain.
  2. Confirm your firm’s domain — a firm-domain email confirms this on its own. Otherwise you add one DNS record, or one small file to your website, and we check for it.
  3. Confirm your bar number — we check it against the state bar roster.
  4. Approved — your profile flips to ✓ Verified Profile and you get the editor. Usually instant; flagged cases get a human review within one business day.

Why claim your profile

Real authority. Not a badge you bought.

Be there when it matters

Nobody browses a criminal defense directory for fun. People find this site after an arrest, a summons, or a call from the county jail — searching for answers before they've even decided to call a lawyer. Claim your profile and your firm is standing exactly where that search ends.

Verified, not self-declared

We don't sell certifications or invent credentials. Every claimed listing is checked against the state bar roster and confirmed against your own firm's domain before it goes live. When a prospective client sees “Verified” next to your name, it means we checked — not that you said so.

Your position, on the record

A directory listing can't argue someone into trusting you — your own answer to a real legal question can. Claiming your profile gives you an FAQ answer, attributed to your firm, published right next to the statute it explains. That's authority you demonstrate, not authority we assert for you.

Found by Google — and by AI

Search has changed. People now ask ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews what happens after a DUI arrest before they ever search for a lawyer by name. Our statute and charge pages are the source those answers draw from — a claimed profile puts your firm inside that answer, not competing against it.
