(1) A gun show promoter shall post prominently a notice, in a form to be prescribed by the executive director of the department of public safety or his or her designee, setting forth the requirement for a background check as provided in this part 5. (2) Any person violating the provisions of this section commits a class 2 misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in section 18-1.3-501.
