(1) The records relating to the arrest, indictment, information, trial, or disposition of alleged offenses of a person adjudicated a youthful offender under this act shall be subject to such sealing, expunction, and control of dissemination as are the criminal justice records of other adult offenders under applicable provisions of law. (2) Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting a youthful offender or his or her attorney from discovery of records or information as otherwise authorized by law or required by the state or the federal constitution.
