What does “Credit institution” mean in Indiana criminal law?

"Credit institution" means a bank, insurance company, credit union, savings association, investment trust, industrial loan and investment company, or other organization held out to the public as a place of deposit of funds or a medium of savings or collective investment. (Ind. Code § 35-31.5-2-71)
