Sec. 0.6. (a) Neither the state nor a political subdivision (as defined in IC 36-1-2-13 ) may: (1) post bail for any person; or (2) for the purpose of posting bail for any person, provide a grant or other funding, directly or indirectly, to an entity that posts bail for any person. (b) A person that accepts donations for the purpose of depositing cash bail for another person may not accept a grant or other funding, directly or indirectly, from a political subdivision.
