Sec. 6. The court may detain, for a maximum period of fifteen (15) calendar days, a person charged with any offense who comes before it for a bail determination, if the person is on probation, parole, or other community supervision. During the fifteen (15) day period, the prosecuting attorney shall notify the appropriate parole, probation, or other community supervision authority. If that authority fails to initiate probation or parole revocation proceedings during the fifteen (15) day period, the person shall be treated in accordance with the other sections of this chapter.
