What does “Iowa state industries” mean in Iowa criminal law?
“Iowa state industries” means prison industries that are established and maintained by the Iowa department of corrections at or adjacent to the state’s adult correctional institutions, except that an inmate work program established by the state director under section 904.703 is not restricted to industries at or adjacent to the institutions. 2. “State director” means the director of the Iowa department of corrections, or the director’s designee.
