What does “Threatened animal” mean in Iowa criminal law?
“Threatened animal” means an animal that is abused as provided in section 717B.2, neglected as provided in section 717B.3, or tortured as provided in section 717B.3A. 17. “Veterinarian” means a veterinarian licensed pursuant to chapter 169 who practices veterinary medicine in this state. (Iowa Code § 717B.1)
