1. For purposes of chapter 669, the following persons shall be considered state employees: a. A child given a work assignment of value to the state or the public or a community work assignment under this chapter. b. A court appointed special advocate and the members of the child advocacy board created in section 237.16 or a local citizen foster care review board created in accordance with section 237.19. 2. The state of Iowa is exclusively liable for and shall pay any compensation becoming due a person under section 85.59.
