17-A M.R.S. § 551Primary source, current through the First Special Session of the 132nd Maine Legislature (current through October 1, 2025)

1. A person is guilty of bigamy if, having a spouse, he intentionally marries or purports to marry, knowing that he is legally ineligible to do so. 2. Bigamy is a Class E crime.
