In this subchapter: (1) "Bodily injury" has the meaning assigned by Section 1.07 , Penal Code. (2) "Motor vehicle stop" means an occasion in which a peace officer stops a motor vehicle for an alleged violation of a law or ordinance. (3) "Race or ethnicity" means the following categories: (A) Alaska native or American Indian; (B) Asian or Pacific Islander; (C) black; (D) Hispanic or Latino; and (E) white. (4) "Racial profiling" means a law enforcement-initiated action based on an individual's race, ethnicity, or national origin rather than on the individual's behavior or on information identifying the individual as having engaged in criminal activity.
