The commissioners court of a county that establishes an office of medical examiner shall: (1) provide the medical examiner and the medical examiner's employees with adequate office space; and (2) on request of the medical examiner, provide the medical examiner and the medical examiner's employees with laboratory facilities or make arrangements for the use of existing laboratory facilities in the county.
