What does “Constable” mean in Utah criminal law?
"Constable" means an individual: (1)(a)(i)(A) acting at the direction of a city, as described in Section 10-7-87; (1)(a)(i)(B) acting at the direction of a county, as described in Title 17, Chapter 78, Part 6, Constables; (1)(a)(i)(C) who is visibly identifiable as a constable and who identifies himself or herself as a constable; and (1)(a)(i)(D) who, beginning January 1, 2027, is licensed as a constable under Title 58, Chapter 91, Constables Licensing Act.
