What does “Party line” mean in Utah criminal law?

"Party line" means a subscriber's line or telephone circuit: (1)(a)(ii)(A) that consists of two or more connected main telephone stations; and (1)(a)(ii)(B) where each telephone station has a distinctive ring or telephone number. (Utah Code Ann. § 76-9-105.6)
