What does “Public officer” mean in Utah criminal law?
"Public officer" means: (15)(a) an elected official of a public entity; (15)(b) an individual appointed to, or serving an unexpired term of, an elected official of a public entity; (15)(c) a judge of a court of record or not of record, including justice court judges; or (15)(d) a member of the Board of Pardons and Parole. (Utah Code Ann. § 76-1-101.5)
