(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-9-1601 apply to this section. (2) An actor commits accepting the proceeds of unlawful activity if the actor knowingly accepts or receives property that is represented to the actor to be the proceeds of unlawful activity. (3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a third degree felony. (4) Each act committed in violation of Subsection (2) that involves the movement of funds in excess of $10,000 is a separate violation under this section. (5) Under Subsection (2), knowledge that the property represents the proceeds of unlawful activity may be established by proof that a law enforcement officer or an individual acting at the request of a law enforcement officer made the representations and the actor's subsequent statements or actions indicate that the actor believed those representations to be true.
