(1) A violation of a protective order issued under this part is a class A misdemeanor. (2) A petitioner may be subject to criminal prosecution under Title 76, Chapter 8, Part 5, Falsification in Official Matters, for knowingly falsifying any statement or information provided for the purpose of obtaining a protective order.
