What does “Community transition services” mean in Washington criminal law?
"Community transition services" means a therapeutic and supportive community-based custody option in which: (a) A person serves a portion of their term of confinement residing in the community, outside of department institutions and community facilities; (b) The department supervises the person in part through the use of technology that is capable of determining or identifying the monitored person's presence or absence at a particular location; (c) The department provides access to developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, racial equity-based, and culturally relevant programs to promote su (RCW 13.40.020)
