What does “Risk assessment” mean in Washington criminal law?
"Risk assessment" means the application of the risk instrument recommended to the department by the Washington state institute for public policy as having the highest degree of predictive accuracy for assessing an offender's risk of reoffense. (RCW 9.94A.030)
