What does “authorized user” mean in California criminal law?
“authorized user” means an individual who is not prohibited by state or federal law from possessing, receiving, owning, or purchasing a firearm and who meets either of the following requirements: (a) The individual is the lawful owner of the firearm. (Cal. Penal Code § 16745)
