1. There is established in each judicial district in this state a judicial district department of correctional services. Each district department shall furnish or contract for those services necessary to provide a community-based correctional program which meets the requirements of the department. 2. The district department is under the direction of the department and shall be administered by a district director employed by the department. A district department is a state agency for purposes of chapter 669. 3. All employees of a district department shall be employees of the department.
