What does “Risk assessment instrument” mean in Maine criminal law?
"Risk assessment instrument" means an instrument created and modified as necessary by reviewing and analyzing precursors to a sex offense, victim populations of a registrant or an offender, living conditions and environment of a registrant or an offender and other factors predisposing a person to become a registrant or an offender, for the ongoing purpose of identifying risk factors. 4-B. (34-A M.R.S. § 11203)
