What does “Kickback or bribe” mean in Utah criminal law?

"Kickback or bribe" means a rebate, compensation, or any other form of remuneration, that is: (1)(a) direct or indirect; (1)(b) overt or covert; or (1)(c) in cash or in kind. (Utah Code Ann. § 76-17-201)
